About Total Linhas Aéreas
Total Linhas Aéreas holds a long diverse history from its founding in 1988, but it was from 2001 that Total made its biggest evolutionary leap. By filling a gap left by large companies, the company initiated air links between capitals and cities in the interior of the country, taking to another level the concept of regional aviation in Brazil. From the route connecting two cities (Belo Horizonte and Montes Claros, both in Minas Gerais) in December 2001, the company reached, in December 2007, the mark of 29 Brazilian cities served*, transporting an average of 450,000 passengers/year through 8 Brazilian states. Total was also elected, for two consecutive years, the best regional airline in Brazil, a title granted by the specialized press.
In 2008, following the new global trend of comriding forces, in order to make possible success in an increasingly competitive and globalized economy, Total transferred its asset slated for the regular line of passengers to third parties, rescuing its vocation as a cargo company and using, with wisdom, the know-how accumulated in years of passenger operations. Currently, Total is dedicated exclusively to corporate transportation (charters) of people and cargo, again occupying a large gap existing in the air transport industry in Brazil.
